About Beckytable

Beckytable is a small blog about making coffee and tea at home and taking your time with it. It’s written for people who own a kettle and a favorite mug, not a cafĂ©.

What the blog covers

  • Pour-over and French press brew guides, with ratios, grind and water temperature as starting points.
  • Loose-leaf tea basics: steeping times, water temperature and how much leaf to use.
  • Mugs and ceramics: picking them, caring for them, and why the one you reach for keeps winning.
  • Coffee and tea gift ideas for people who already brew at home.
  • Slow morning routines built around a cup.

Where the numbers come from

Guides are signed Mae Holloway, a pen name used for every post here. Ratios and temperatures come from specialty coffee and tea industry guidance and are checked against those sources before a post goes up. An AI tool helps sketch an outline; a writer rewrites the draft and checks every number. Taste varies, so treat each figure as a place to begin, then adjust: more coffee if a cup tastes thin, less if it tastes heavy.

What you won’t find here

  • Health or medical claims about caffeine, and no drinks sold as cleanses or weight-loss aids.
  • Coffee drinks made with alcohol.
  • Sponsored reviews. No brand pays for a mention.
  • Politics or gambling.

About the shop

Beckytable has a small shop of ceramic mugs. On the blog the mugs are shown for reference only; posts never depend on them, and a guide reads the same whether or not you ever look at the shop.
